I started photographing a couple of years ago because I had an overwhelming necessity of going beyond and make it tangible. I needed to create something with my hands and drawing was not as fulfilling as Photography. I take photos because it’ s an escape and a path to find myself, to to keep a track of what I’ve felt, who I’ve met and what interests me.
I’m in between Fine art and Docmentary Photography.I really enjoy creating staged pictures, giving directions to the model, taking the time to experiment with light, the human body shapes and nature environments (like ”Nymph” serie).However I also have this need to photograph what I see, I find both challenging.
Additionnaly I’m more interested in analog photography, I like the mistery and magic (even if many times it’s disappointing), the slow and deliberate side of this technique. I find very interesting the imperfect side which brokes the established order.I’m also afraid of the zillion pictures that are uploaded everyday and that will disappear one day, so I keep shooting analog, it’s a way to ensure my memories.
